Can I remove text and keep the background?

The editor reconstructs the selected area from nearby image content. It can keep the surrounding image, but cannot recover the exact hidden pixels behind a word. Flat backgrounds are easier; inspect repaired texture, lines and shadows on photos.

Can it remove a watermark?

It can remove text you have the right to remove — your own exports, drafts, or licensed assets. Removing another creator's watermark to reuse their work is against our acceptable-use policy.

Is text removal free, and is my image uploaded?

Local recognition and supported local edits run in your browser. Cloud background repair sends the image region for processing and uses the available repair allowance shown in the editor. Check the displayed limits before starting a cloud operation.

Is there a size limit?

Export retains the original image dimensions, up to 32 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side, subject to browser memory. Analysis uses a separate copy up to 2,048 pixels on its longest side. Retaining the canvas dimensions does not add detail to the repaired area.

Use a close selection

Include the whole word and its visible shadow, while keeping nearby captions and objects out of the selected area.

Check texture and straight lines

On a flat panel, look for color seams. On a photograph, check repeated texture, broken lines and shadows where the letters used to be.

Review what stayed

Compare nearby text and graphics with the original. Keep the source file so you can undo, resize the selection or try a different edit.
