Is blurred text really unreadable?

Blur and pixelation can leave short text partly readable. Use Black bar for sensitive text and inspect the exported image. Share the image export rather than the editable project, which retains the original.

Is my screenshot uploaded?

Default local recognition, manual selections, blur, pixelation, solid covers and export run in your browser. Your screenshot is sent to the server only if you choose cloud recognition or use AI background repair in another editing mode.

Can I blur several parts at once?

Yes — select as many lines as you need, or use Select all and deselect the ones to keep.

Does it cost credits?

No. Blur, pixelate and black-bar are free and unlimited because they run locally.

Cover the whole text line

Zoom in to check the left and right edges. Draw or adjust a box if recognition misses a character or part of a number.

Choose the cover deliberately

Blur and pixelation preserve some visual structure. Use a solid Black bar when the text should be fully covered in the exported image.

Review the downloaded image

Check the final export at full resolution, including other names or numbers elsewhere in the screenshot. This example keeps the subtitle intact.

Inspect every selected area before sharing. The editable project retains the source image, so share the PNG or JPG export when you want to hide information.
